Lighting Experience Day in Yerevan: Practical Stage Lighting Workshop

1
On April 27, a hands-on Lighting Experience Day seminar was held at the Small Stage of the Stanislavski Russian Drama Theatre, organized by Sound Creations. The event focused on modern solutions in stage lighting and lighting control based on equipment from Ayrton and ETC.

The event brought together industry professionals — lighting designers, technical specialists, representatives of theatres and concert venues, as well as system integrators. The main focus was on hands-on work with equipment and the analysis of real-world applications of lighting technologies in theatre, live events, and multimedia projects.

Participants explored lighting fixtures including Ayrton Stradale Profile, Nando 502 Wash, and the ETC Lustr 3 X8 profile fixture with various modules. The demonstrations were built around the exchange of practical experience across different genres, as well as the hands-on use of individual functions and their combinations. The session also covered the principles of color synthesis in additive color-mixing fixtures, using the ETC Lustr 3 X8 as an example. Participants gained deeper insight into the capabilities of Ayrton and ETC solutions.

“This was our first event dedicated to stage lighting in Yerevan. Our goal was not just to showcase the fixtures, but to explain how to work with it in practice — from installation to using functions and their combinations to achieve the desired result in real projects,” said Mark Stavtsev, lighting designer and Sales Manager for Ayrton, ETC and Robert Juliat at Sound Creations

Lighting Experience Day in Yerevan became part of Sound Creations’ educational initiative aimed at developing the professional lighting community and enhancing technical expertise across Central Asia and the Caucasus.

Sound Creations continues to expand its series of hands-on offline events across the region, building a unified professional environment for lighting specialists and increasing access to modern technologies and international standards in stage lighting.
