Grand Experience Day 2025: Innovations in the AV Industry for Central Asia

1
On April 21st, Tashkent hosted our annual event, Grand Experience Day, dedicated to the latest advancements in sound, lighting, and visualization technologies. Over 70 engineers from rental companies and technical specialists from cultural institutions across Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan explored cutting-edge solutions from leading global brands including Ayrton, L-Acoustics, Barco, DiGiCo, and Xilica.

Ayrton

Mark Stavtsev, an engineer at Sound Creations with extensive experience at the Bolshoi Theatre and current lighting designer for Dubai Opera, showcased professional Ayrton fixtures. He emphasized key technical and visual features that make these fixtures ideal for modern complex shows, theatre productions, television, and film shoots. Participants gained insight into the versatility of Ayrton Ultimate Series profile lights (Rivale, Veloce), the compact Kyalami laser, and the Nando 502 Wash floodlight. Mark demonstrated dynamic color effects with zero latency, natural color rendering on camera, and precise control without technical limitations—highlighting Ayrton’s fixtures as reliable, powerful, and user-friendly tools for professional lighting design. Attendees also had hands-on opportunities to operate Rivale Wash, Veloce Profile, and WildSun fixtures, experiencing firsthand the creative possibilities.

Xilica

Xilica, a leading manufacturer of digital audio platforms and DSP processors, was represented by Artur Shakurov, Sales Manager at Sound Creations. Artur introduced participants to Xilica’s comprehensive product range designed to address audio processing and distribution challenges in venues of all sizes and complexities. Artur presented the new RoomHub—Xilica’s first AI-powered product that automatically adapts sound parameters to room acoustics, significantly reducing installation time and eliminating configuration errors. This innovation is particularly relevant for conference rooms, educational spaces, museums, and theatres where intelligent sound management, easy scalability, and rapid integration into existing AV infrastructures are critical—all delivered with exceptional stability and audio quality.

L-Acoustics L-ISA and DiGiCo

Attendees discovered how modern technologies are reshaping the sonic experience with unprecedented precision, immersion, and scale. Sergey Becker (Technical Solutions Engineer at L-Acoustics) and Andrey Akhromeyev (Technical Director at Sound Creations) presented the L-ISA Immersive Sound Art spatial audio system, demonstrating real-time spatial sound design capabilities. Crucially, L-ISA integrates seamlessly with DiGiCo digital consoles to streamline workflow for sound engineers—a synergy showcased using the DiGiCo Quantum 338 console. When paired with L-ISA, DiGiCo consoles enable real-time mixing, positioning, and movement of sound objects within a three-dimensional sound field. This integration empowers operators to precisely control each sound element’s location, delivering immersive and realistic stage soundscapes. Technologies from L-Acoustics, L-ISA, and DiGiCo are trusted by production companies, theatres, cultural institutions, and show organizers who prioritize not just loudness but accuracy, expressiveness, and reliability.

Additionally, we hosted Central Asia’s first demonstration of the new L-Acoustics L2 line array. Participants experienced its high sensitivity, broad frequency range, and precise directional control. The L2 represents a breakthrough in line array technology—ideally suited for large-scale outdoor events, stadiums, and concert arenas.

Barco

Barco continues to lead the global market in professional projection and mapping, offering solutions tailored for museums, presentation venues, as well as large-scale shows and open-air events. The latest overview of Barco’s technologies was presented by Nehir Ozdemir, Senior Specialist at Barco.

To showcase key advantages, three flagship projectors were introduced: the compact G50 and I600, ideal for installations, and the powerful UDM, designed to deliver “wow” effects at large-scale shows. Nehir demonstrated the distinctions among the three models, highlighting how each projector effectively handles bright ambient light, reproduces fine details, and adapts precisely to installation conditions.

Attendees not only witnessed presentations of these unique products but also participated in hands-on demonstrations, gained expert insights, and exchanged valuable experiences. The Grand Experience Day continues to make a significant contribution to the development of the regional AV industry, opening new horizons for creative projects and technical innovations.

We would like to extend special thanks to our event partner — YASTREB SOUND — and personally to Ruslan Yastrebov for providing the technical infrastructure, support, and a well-coordinated team of technicians whose efforts ensured the event ran smoothly.
